I've been searching for a long Time, for a nice Possibility to access and watch Youtube Videos. Youtube has been my favourite Spare Time Killer for some Time now, so i thought, why not watch it on my Phone too?
Alright, so i did some Research on the www, and i think i found one of the best Applications so far, called emTube! emTube, who's Founder Sebastian Jedruszkiewicz, just introduced the new Version 1.04 including some Bugfixes, new Italian Language, flv Recognizer etc ..
So what can you else do with this feature-rich Killer-Application!? Read on ..
First of all, emTube gives you FULL Access to Youtube, not only selected Videos. With this in Mind, you will find similar Options in the Applications, like featured, top rated and most viewed Videos! The Application pretty much reacts like the normal Youtube Site, which makes it very easy to use.
The Search Function on Top searches quickly for everything you let it. Once you found the desired Video, you can simply watch it like you would do it on Youtube OR, and this makes this Application even better than the Original, you can download every single Video directly to your Phone!! You can choose between the Phone or Mass Memory/Memory Card, every Video is saved in the space-saving FLV-Format. How to watch the downloaded Videos then? Simple .. Options - Open local File! There you go!
Another nice Feature is "Add to Favorites". Every Video (Link) you like goes directly in this Folder, this makes it simple to watch it over and over again, they didn't even forget one of my favourite Buttons at Youtube - related Videos!
My favourite Function in emTube is, without a Doubt, the Support for the buit-in Accelerometer! What does it do? Simple, play a Video, rotate the Phone and it automatically turns into landscape Playback, without any Delays .. Nowadays i think it's a MUST have for every new Application, to support the built-in Accelerometer! ;)
With all that in Mind, i think emTube is the best Youtube Application available, highly recommended from all around the S60 Scene..The App itself is free of Charge, but you should definitely consider a Donation to Sebastian Jedruszkiewicz, it's definitely worth it!
