I've just received a Mail from a Reader, asking me how to get Maps on the Nokia N95! It's quite simple, so i decided to put up a little Step by Step Guide using Nokia's Maploader! Alright, here we go:
1. Get Nokia Maploader!
The first Step is easy: Simply download the Nokia Maploader (5.32 MB) for the Nokia N95 from here: http://www.nokia.com/A4353385
Install the Application - Done!
2. Connect the Phone!
Next Step: Connect your Phone to your PC/Laptop via USB Cable and select Mass Storage on your Phone!Alternatively you can put your Memory Card in your Card Reader - this works fine as well!
3. Working with Maploader
- Start Nokia Maploader
- Select the correct Map using the Arrows to unfold the Menus!
- Select the right Country and move it to the Selection List, using the "+" Button! (I've choosen Monaco, probably not for my next Holidays, but Austria is already installed ;))
- Click Download - Nokia Maploader now downloads the selected Maps!
- After the Download is completed, the Application moves your Map right on the Memory Card (No Matter how you do it, Mass Storage Mode or Card Reader!)
- You get a Box saying "Installation successfull when everything is successfully done!
That's it, simple but effective! :) ... You don't have to install anything on the Phone, once you have the "Installation successfull" Box, the Map is ready to use! DONE!
